THE BUCKINGAM POND CRESWOOD
NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION ALBANY

38 years working to maintain/improve the residential
integrity/quality of life, home vakues and property tax
bases that supports city schools/city government services.

Lavish tax breaks to subsidize building ""luxury"
apartments in a saturated market, and

Mayor Sheehan's Rezone Albany (June 2017)  and
repeal of the prior city zoning code  are blunders
which threaten the residential home values, quality
of life in our predominantly single family residential
neighborhood, which pays the lion's share of the
property taxes that support city schools and city
government services.\

The City of Albany is insolvent and on a fast track
to becoming Detroit on the Hudson because of these
flawed policies , the lack of quality candidates
seeking public office,  low turnouts of uninformed
partyline voters at election time, the apathy and
non participation of the majority of eligible voters
who fail to go to the polls and cast informed votes.

A Moratorium needs to be declared on the lavish
tax breaks , apartment and mixed use development
until the city sewer system is fixed, and

A Moratorium on Rezone Albany is implemented
pending amendment and repeal of provisions that
are detrimental to the residential integrity/quality
of life, home values and property tax base of the few
remaining prime single family residential neighborhoods
of the city - one of which is ours.

Your active participation in the Buckingham Pond
Crestwood  NA is vital to t your future, the future
of our neighborhood and the city.

Call m me to discuss how you might participate.
