Neighborhood Association established 1984.
Our neighborhood boundaries are: Western Ave(N)
S. Manning Blvd (E) NYSSThruway-Whitehall Rd(S)
NYSTW-Rte 85 (W)
Our objective has been and remains maintaining and
improving the residential integrity, environment and
quality of life in this primarily single family residential
neighborhood.
Issues that impact this objective include:
1. Land Use/Zoning
2. Traffic/Pedestrian Safety
3. Waste Management/Recycling/Disposal
4. Open Space Protection/Pocket Parks
5. Street/Yard Tree/Shrub Planting and Care
6. Improved Snow Removal/Reduction/Elimination
of Road Salt/Use of Safer Alternatives by the City
homeowners, institutions and businesses
Buckingham Pond Park Care/Improvement
7. Retaining/Improving the City Municipal Golf
Course (Capital Hills - also known as Albany Muni
by old timers.
8. Emergency/Disaster Preparedness/Public Safety
9. Monitoring and interacting with residents of adjacent
neighborhoods, neighborhood associations, city, county
state and federal governments informing residents of
our neighborhood of issues, tends, policies that impact
us. We are not an island alone. Government policies
impact every aspect of our lives. We can and must
recommend and support those which are positive
and oppose those which conflict with or negatively
impact our neighborhood objective.

Long time and new residents have a stake in being active
in the Buckingham Pond Crestwood Association Working

subdivisions,( blocks) are among the ways you can contribute

Regarding our Neighborhood Watch. All residents are members.
We adopted this policy years ago, Watch for an update soon
urging you carry your cell phones and use your land lines
to contact the Albany Police, NYS Homeland Security and
other emergency entities when and as needed.

Interacting with local, state and federal law enforcement
in matters of public safety and emergency/disaster
preparedness is a priority.
